Tired of the treadmill? Bored of the same old workout routines? Boost your motivation and your results with workouts that are great fun and fat burning.

Circus Training
Run away with the circus for a workout that will really get your adrenaline pumping! Choose from a range of activities including static trapeze, swinging trapeze, rope, silks or aerial hoop. Great for all-over toning and working muscles you never knew you hadn.

Squash
This is one of the best workouts you can do to boost your overall fitness and great fun to boot. At top level it’s a fast-paced game, but it’s surprisingly easy to pick up – and once you’ve mastered the basics your competitive edge will take over and you’ll be dripping with sweat in minutes. Squash courts are available for hire all over the country, usually from around £6 for an hour. But if you want start out strong get a few lessons first.

Rock climbing
Indoor climbing has seen a surge in popularity of late. It’s great for toning and fat burning and is a great workout to do with friends. Don’t let a fear of heights put you off: you can start small and build up to the more challenging climbs. Surprisingly, there are also plenty of places to do it around the country. Try out the amazing climbing facilities at Surrey Sports Park

Soulcalibur V: Swordsman

For a workout with a difference, grab your sword. GYMBOX has launched a new sword fighting workout this February to coincide with the launch of the SoulcaliburV. The 40-minute workout consists of 16 sword repetitions which aim to gradually build speed, improve accuracy and condition your body. The classes run every Tuesday through February, starting at 6pm. And, any Soulcalibur fan who turns up at GYMBOX Westfield with a copy of Soulcalibur V on either Playstation 3 or Xbox360 can join GYMBOX for free during February.

Skipping
If you’re short on time, but want a fun workout with big results, try skipping. It’s fast and furious and you can burn up to 200 calories in just 10 minutes. And the best part? You can pick up a good skipping rope for as little as £5, so it’s cost-effective, too! For a full workout
